The Front Page
May 31st, 2006 by nullifidianOne day the front page of the newspaper is filled with reports of the most ordinary events in the lives of the most ordinary people, completely devoid of fame or far-reaching importance. Occurrences of minor happiness around the city are reported. Individual appreciation of the great weather is written about. Spontaneous smiles are covered. Pride in one’s offspring occupies a few columns. Insignificant acts of kindness are revealed. The reporting is straight, unemotional and professional. Interviews, photographs and details about names and places have their due presence. Throughout, the first page is infused with its customary quiet sense of urgency and purpose, just like on any other day. The first page conveys the most important news.

The greatest enigma is the why of the “existence of existence”?

Alan,
That is indeed ultimate bewilderment.
It is very interesting to hear from people who have had similar experiences or thoughts. You can email me at nullifidian@isism.org or chat right here.

Hello,
I am 16 years old from Australia and I have long believed that i possess a great depth of understanding, it’s as if i know emotion and feeling in a sub conscious level but even with this “lense of truth” I am unable to articulate what I feel and “know” when I look into a person’s eye’s and immediately understand them or read a situation with emotions. Even now I find it hard to express in words the profound sense of Understanding that I get in situations like these but after reading sections of your blog I feel as though you may be able to guide my confusion as it appears you have dealt with a similar area of life as what I’m referring to and may be able to shed some light from personal experiences.
